I don't think Scripture indicates that they are the same place. Paradise is a future tense "garden" (a type of Eden) - not the abiding place of almighty YHVH. <br><br>No matter the timing (sometimes the arguing point), Jesus DID say that the thief on the cross next to Him would be in Paradise. However, our ultimate destination will be the New Earth, when all things are become new. I believe that is why we will need resurrected bodies.
